Happy NEW YEAR everyone!

2011 was a wonderful year for the business and I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing so many new families. I love seeing returning clients with new babies as well as all the new faces.

I had the pleasure of working with two most amazing parents and the best thing is one of my daughters teachers at woodvale playschool in Edmonton. This little guy was a pro and I am so excited to share a few images from our session.

I decided in 2012 I would make my blog a little more personal and share with you the things that motivate and inspire me. So today I am going to share with you my youngest daughter Izabella. They had a Christmas concert at woodvale playschool and after they got to decorate ginger bread houses and she did hers all on her own.

We had so much Fun in Provost this weekend at their Kinsmen Splash and smash. Me and the girls got to go to this really awesome location to take some pictures and thanks to our friend Kevin I was able to get some really great shots, especially of Izabella who hates my camera.

I am going to be super busy this week right before I head out to Vegas for WPPI so I thought I would share a session from the fall that I didn’t blog yet. This is a beautiful family and have been friends of ours for so long. I was honoured when she asked me to capture her families memories. I hope you enjoy this wonderful family as much as I do. I have 5 moms that just gave birth within 2 days of each other so I am going to enjoy these next few days with my babies! And today I am off to a small town by Buffalo Lake Alberta to photograph a newborn born 4 weeks early because she’s not allowed to travel to long in her car seat. They live in this wonderful cedar home with massive windows so I am excited!

As a photographer I love eyes – as they are the part that draws me in and captivates me. If you can tell a story with your eyes you will look amazing in your photographs. This is my business and I have worked very hard to continually improve my talent and I love where it has taken me. I get to do what I love and photograph people. I meet new people and learn their stories and it makes me feel great when I get to share them with you through photographs. I like to do sneak peeks on my blog but I also love sharing the other moments that I didn’t share at first and here are a few little moments. I photographed Ms L and her fiance early fall and every so often I go back to their gallery and play with the images. Hey eyes are just so captivating to me. This little girl is the daughter of a fellow photographer and I was honored when she chose me to photograph her family. After I previewed her gallery I fell in love with her eyes in this image and the innocence is just captivating. Enjoy!

These 2 are so much fun. I have known them since they started dating and it was an honor when they asked me to take their engagement photos. Mr.M has been such a good friend of ours for years before he met his beautiful fiance and I still remember him holding my oldest when she was born- he was a pro. I can’t wait to see the little ones-yes i know it will be some time but I just love you guys! Anyways we went to a few locations and I believe I had over 500 images on my card after so this was tough to go through. But these really stood out to me because I loved their connection.

This is the first time I have posted a picture of me, my husband is learning how to use my camera so he can take pictures of me with the girls. Can you tell she is totally daddy’s girl? You think because you carried them for 9 months they would forever be mommy’s girls but not my girls. I love seeing their connection, its so beautiful and makes for amazing pictures. My youngest daughter was napping, she didn’t want pictures that day.

Baby R was just 4 months old and he Loved the camera. I can’t believe how beautiful he was. His eyes and smile just sparkled and I just wanted to keep him. This was a beautiful caring family that I enjoyed taking pictures of.

I was in a mommys group with this client for a while and it was ice to meet her and her cute little girl. I was so excited when she asked me to take pictures of her family and boy did we have fun. Little B took a while to warm up in studio but mommy and daddy were so good with her. Would you ever guess these shots were taken almost near the end of the session and immediately after daddy twirled her around to get her to smile? I had so much fun with this couple. I can’t wait to see you guys outside in the spring. Perhaps we can coordinate and we can put her in some cute pettiskirts too.

Thanks to all of you I have had a very successful year. I have enjoyed meeting new people and helping them document their life journey through pictures. I have once again added new equipment to my gear and am so excited to share my talent with you. I have so much to share with you all, I can’t wait!

Here is a fun family I had the pleasure of photographing. This little boy was so cute and really loved his trucks. Thanks for letting me capture these special moments guys.

This little girl was so photogenic. She loved playing and her parents were so great with her. Here are a few of my favorites, hope you enjoy them. The dad doesn’t like doing pictures as most men don’t but I think he had lots of fun.
